When I was told I would be receiving the "Excellence in Orthopedics & Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery" award at the ET Health Conclave 2026, my first thought wasn't about the recognition itself. It was about the hundreds of patients whose trust made this moment possible — every person who chose to place their mobility, their recovery, and their future in my hands.
The award was presented to me by cricketer Ishant Sharma on 26th July 2026, at Hotel Oberoi, Gurugram, as part of the ET Health Conclave — an initiative by the Times of India that brings together some of the country's leading voices in healthcare. Standing on that stage, I found myself thinking less about the achievement and more about the responsibility that comes with it.
Robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery has changed what's possible in orthopedic care. It allows for a level of precision that translates directly into faster recovery, less pain, and better long-term outcomes for patients. But technology alone doesn't heal anyone — it's the combination of clinical judgment, careful patient assessment, and consistent follow-through that actually changes lives. This recognition, to me, represents that combination being seen and valued.
If there's one message I'd want to share with the world on receiving this award, it's this: healthcare excellence isn't a single moment on a stage. It's built case by case, recovery by recovery, over years of showing up for patients when they're at their most vulnerable. This award doesn't feel like an ending point — it feels like encouragement to keep raising the standard of care I offer, and to keep advocating for wider access to robotic-assisted techniques across India.
I'm grateful to the ET Health Conclave for this recognition, to my colleagues and team at Max Hospital, Noida, who make this work possible every single day, and most of all, to every patient who has trusted me with their care. This is as much their achievement as it is mine.
